Mr. Peter Riley, M.A., who is the local member of the Trust’s Voluntary Speaker’s Panel will be paying us a welcome return visit to speak on this interesting subject.

Mr. Colin Bowden. is a well known local speaker and Friend of our Society

SCULPTURE OF THE HUMAN FORM

Mr, Bill Denny gave a very popular talk on Gloucester Cathedral for his last visit to us a year or two ago. He has vast knowledge of the Art World , so this will be a very good evening

A NOSTALGIC CHRISTMAS

Mr. Eric Hibbs , who will be remembered for his "Nostalgic Notions" will be putting us in the mood for Christmas.

 Art Historian and Lecturer, Miss Ruth Wood from Herefordshire, says that while she is not particularly devoted to modern art, she will try to explain it to us.

WITLEY COURT AND GARDENS

Mr. Spencer Trickett, who has been Site Supervisor at the Court for twelve years, will tell us something of it's history and the restoration work there.

ROCOCO -THE LINE OF BEAUTY

Mrs. Naomi Motley is a former Lecturer of Birmingham and Bristol Universities and also in the U.S . and is returning to lecturing after a long gap

Mr. Dave Walton is an enthusiast for the Arts and Crafts Movement, particularly the Cotswold connection, He is a voluntary Guide for the Arts and Crafts collection at Cheltenham Art Gallery and Museum

THE GUNPOWDER PLOT IN THE MIDLANDS - 17th CENTURY TERROR

 John Handley is the former Chairman of the Malvern Civic Society. He lives locally and writes and speaks on aspects of local history.

 HIGHLIGHTS OF THE JACKFIELD TILE MUSEUM

Carol Bowsher joined Ironbridge Gorge Museum in 2009 and has a background of art and Design

GEORGIAN BATH AND THE RE-OPENING OF THE HOLBURN MUSEUM

Mrs. Al, Hopkins Clarke has visited us before. She is a NADFAS member and a Blue Badge Guide and this should be a most interesting talk.

 


May 11th

FREDERICK PREEDY — ARCHITECT AND ARTIST

John Grove, who is based in Ledbury, is very keen that the work of Mr.Preedy should be better known. His work, particularly stained glass, can be seen in many local churches.

Dr. Sally Baggott is Curator of the Birmingham Assay Office and is responsible for the extensive Library and wonderful silver collection.


July 13th

ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING + DAME LAURA KNIGHT IN MALVERN.

Local speaker Heather Whatley, who is Chair of Malvern and Colwall Friends of Laura Knight Society, will share her enthusiasm for this artist with us.
